So Cole has made it to 21 months with out too much harm to himself. Nap time / bed time has been improving slowly but in a very positive direction. We are still struggling with the head butting but hopefully in time that will work itself out. He is totally in his big boy bed now. He stay some what put for naps which is nice. When he wakes up he runs over and knocks on his door.
Occasionally at night if he is sleeping in our bed, he will wake straight up from a dead sleep and start head butting the mattress or you if you don't get out of the way fast enough. This lasts about 1 minute and then he is back to sleep.....very strange.
He is just the sweetest little boy when he is happy. He doles out kisses like there is no tomorrow. Almost every kiss has a sound effect of "mmmmmoi" that goes along with it. He is not giving out slimy kisses any more.
He is super smart. Just the other day he was on our bed and I had moved a lamp to the far side of my dresser because he kept turning them on and off. When I came back into the room he was sitting in the middle of the bed and the lamp was on again. I asked him "Cole, will you please show me how the light got turned on" He gets up, walks over to the dresser, climbs on top, walks over to the lamp and turns it off. I am amazed at how much they understand when they can't verbalize it to you.
He is eating a lot more foods these days. Chicken nuggest have finally made it into his stomach. He really likes smoked turkey lunch meat, chips and salsa, quesadillas, rice - mainly brown, applesauce, yogurt, cheese, salt and pepper chips, mandarins, and dried cranberries. He still love whole wheat bagels, plain and cold - don't toast it with cream cheese. He also likes what we call roll ups - tortilla, cream cheese, humas, and turkey all rolled up.
His 4 fang teeth have been slowly coming in over the past month. He tries to bite you if you feel for other teeth. He has been tormenting dogs by stomping on their feet. He is gonna get his little butt bit one of these days...
He is holding steady at 26 pounds.
