Catching up!

Obviously I haven't been around much since life got totally insane.  I have a ton of blog posts to get up from April, May, June, July, and August but the picture to go with them aren't ready.  So I decided to just start back up again now and stay current and when I get those other months done I will let you know in case you care to see what happened during that time!

Just a quick update - Siena is 2 1/2 and 25#, talks like crazy, Cole is 4 1/2 and it super tall and doesn't look like a toddler any more.  :-(

25 months

Siena had her 2 year check up today. She is doing amazing at her vocabulary compared to where Cole was at this age. She is 32 3/4 inches tall (17th%) and 23# 6oz (8%). She has dropped about 5oz in weight. I kind of suspected that she would have dropped a bit in weight because since being off the bottle she has not been chugging the rice milk.

Hello!  We haven't gone anywhere, I'm not stopping the blog and every one is alive and well.  I am so far behind with my photography business that I don't have any time to edit my own pics at the moment.  I have tons of blog posts to put up and tons of photos to edit but they are all going to have to wait until I finish editing a total of 4 weddings, 5 family sessions and 3 engagement sessions.  I hope to be back by early december.  There will be a TON of posts so when I'm back grab  a cup of tea and sit back and enjoy.

I love this blog.  I love the memories and I don't want to forget any of it but I am freaking out right now with the above mentioned items and I think it is best to put it on hold until I can get back in the swing of things.

Love you all, don't forget about us!  Of course you can read about the little things on facebook too.  I will always be there.  I think I am addicted.

First rain and wedding season is slowing down

We just got back from Santa Cruz for the second time in 3 weeks.  I am exhausted.  I love photographing weddings but I am tired.  I have made changes to my pricing so if I am hired for the day it pays well.  Yesterdays wedding was 13 hours on my old pricing and it was exhausting.  We got up early this morning and were home by 11:30am!  So we can still enjoy the day!  It rained this afternoon and it was amazing.  I get so excited for the start of each new season and I love the start of fall.  There just something about that crisp air and gentle rain that I love.  We are starting early on firewood this year so we don't "almost" run out like last year.  We (and by we I mean Mike) has a lot of firewood to split.  I do help stack it though.

This coming weekend is my last wedding for this year on the books.  This will be 11 total for this year which is up from 2 last year.  I am excited to see where I end up for 2011.  I already have 4 booked and 4 on the hook!  :-)  Who knew raising my prices would generate more business!

My goal is to be totally caught up by Dec 1st.  I am taking the month of December off from photography (unless there is a newborn or last minute wedding) to get caught up on life, blurb books and just enjoy the holidays!  I am looking forward to starting 2011 off on a good clean slate.

Once again playing catch up with life.

Right now I feel like this blog totally reflects the state my life is in right now.  A week and a half behind schedule and trying to play catch up.  I am working my butt off to get these weddings edited and my personal stuff is falling behind and that makes me mad.  I am hoping to get back on schedule with everything, including this blog but that just means a lot of late nights for me.  :-(

Once again I fell behind blogging.  I hate doing that.  I am trying to be better I swear but sometimes life happens and you get sick and your kids wants to make ER visits a habit and you try to do too much and end up half assing everything and not doing any one thing well.

Things got crazy really fast around here.  I have 4 weddings to edit, a family session, tons of blog posts that need photos.  Last week Mike was sick, this weekend the kids were sick, I did two weddings this weekend and now I am super sick, I had to miss work which I HATE doing and to top it all off Cole was back at the ER tonight getting another set of three stitches put in his forehead.  This time he tripped and hit the brick step at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Plenty of photos to come.

As you can tell, things have been real thrilling around here these days...

MAJOR blog catch up

Ok, it happened again. I took way too many photos and wasn't able to stay caught up. Sometimes I think I need to learn to back off a bit. Anyways, that wont happen so enjoy the 21 posts I put up. Yes 21. There was a lot to share. Some you may have seen but I back dated a few past those. Enjoy and for my own sanity I promised my self I would stay caught up since after this weekend I am booked with photo shoots until the end of May! Yay for business, boo for no free time in sight.

A pretty crappy weekend

Cole has been sick since Wednesday. Siena started on Friday and me on Saturday night. I am so pissed about being sick, it isn't even funny. I think I am starting to get an ear infection and immediate care had no openings tonight which makes me even more mad. I'm pretty livid to say the least. I was hoping for a relaxing weekend and it didn't even come close to that.

Friday was ok. Cole still had a fever and runny nose and when he is sick he is a pretty sweet little kid. He is very snuggly and doesn't complain much at all. I could tell Siena was trying not to be sick but that wasn't working. She was a little testy and not wanting to eat much.

We had a great lunch out side in the sun. Too bad the kids didn't want to eat much. And yes Cole does eat salad. He loves them and his favorite dressing is Trader Joe's Tuscan Balsamic.

My oh so favorite find with coconut milk yogurt turned into another disaster. I gave her the strawberry coconut yogurt Thursday night. All day friday i added coconut milk into her bottle, which she loved! Friday night at 8pm I go to change her diaper and guess who has a rash....a food allergy rash on her bum and down her legs! Yup, she is either allergic to strawberries or coconut. I stupidly gave her two things that she had only had one other time and now I don't know which one she is allergic to. So I am now waiting two weeks and I will only give her coconut milk and see if she gets a rash. I am hoping it is strawberries that way I can get some fat in her diet.

Besides being sick, Cole has also had a pretty crappy weekend. He was chasing ducks at the park and fell and skinned his knee. Note to self - don't let a kid run in flip flops. The Saturday evening he was playing by the horse trailer and mr. strong guy apparently can open the trailer door and it slammed closed on his foot. He's lucky he didn't lose his foot. His ankle is bruised but nothing is broken or missing. On Sunday he and Mike had a miscommunication on when exactly Cole needed to lean over for a butt wiping after pooping and Mike kneed him in the nose and he got a pretty good bloody nose. Poor guy!

Hello Friends!

Hello to all 60 of you. Ha! I actually like knowing that there are only 60 of you and that you aren't creeps. :-) So with that being said, thank you to all of you for wanting to coming along with the Fredy's as I continue this blog away from the eyes of the public. It's been a busy week and I have a ton of things to post I am just trying to find the time to finish getting the photos together.

9 month check up

Siena had her 9 month check up today. She is 17 # 8oz (25%) and 26 1/4 inches tall (11%). Over all she is in the 75% which is still so funny to me when the stats by them selves are so low. She got her flu shot and the Dr. wanted her to get the H1N1 and I refused it and the doc wanted to know why. I just don't agree with loading this little kids up with so many vaccines. And besides they are pretty confident she already had it but the Dr said they don't know yet if you can get it twice. Anyways, I told the Dr. I didn't want my children being an experiment for the government. We left it at that. Siena also got her blood drawn to confirm if she really did have chicken pox or not. We will get those results in a few days. It is no fun to have to bear hug a little peanut in a chair while one nurse is grabbing her arm and the other is poking needles in to. To be fair they did get in on the first poke which is AMAZING considering she has marshmellow arms.

So it's looking like the Fredy's are getting better (for now). Siena has not had a fever since Saturday afternoon!!!! We are still giving her antibiotics for the possible ear infection, which she doesn't seem to mind too much although the dispenser for the amoxicillin went missing last night (Cole) and he says it is in the freezer. Well I looked and it isn't there. Anyone know what else a toddler might say that sounds like freezer???? I am still feeling sluggish. I don't like having a cold. I am glad that my body at least took mercy on me a little bit and fought off most of this swine flu, but I want to feel normal again, and fast! Cole is doing well. He is still coughing a bit and the snot has seemed to take over his body. Poor guy had to deal with some pretty rough congestion.

We had a minor set back today with Siena being super fussy over her ear and then waking up with hives! So of course we go back to the doctor this evening. There is still fluid behind her eardrum but the redness is gone which means the antibiotic has helped but the hives may have been caused by an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin. So to find out if that it true the doctor wanted us to give her another dose and see if she gets any hives. With in two minutes she had hives!!! Crazy!!! So time for a new antibiotic.

Playing catch up

I have been trying for days to catch up on my blog posts. And every time I think I have a chance to catch up some thing else goes wrong. Besides having no power for 24 hours and scrambling to get all our food to safety, my grandpa has become ill, and Cole as of now has vomited once and has fever. I think Siena is about 12 hours behind him. Cole keeps saying "no feel good mama" "owie on head"

So below are the many posts I have been meaning to post.

Busy bee

Today is September 1st. What happened to summer???? Today is my second day of split shifts for the next month at work. I am already exhausted. There are so many things to catch up on that I think I need a nanny just so I can get everything back in order. Remember when I thought that everything in life would be ok if the house was clean? Well we are back to that spot again. It sucks. I hate a messy house and I hate laundry. I really hate laundry. Why is it that it never makes it back to the closets or drawers? I have 3 photo sessions to edit along with our day trip to Tahoe last weekend that I really want to document. I am hoping to get caught up this weekend, some how, even though one day will be spent at my parents house. Hmmmm, I am starting to think it's gonna get even busier before I get caught up!

We are home!

We are back after a super fun weekend at the coast. Once I am fully recovered (I am still working on a cold that has lasted a week) I can get to posting pictures. I managed to get one picture edited and it is of Megan, one half of the dynamic duo we spent the weekend with. Go here to see a pic from our VERY cold and windy beach session. Catching up

This little guy has been on a roll this week. He is trying to give his father a heart attack. One night while I was at work, Cole managed to take off his diaper and sit in various spots around the deck and leave poop in each location. In the same night he also covered the dogs back in edamame hummus.

I do think we need to utilize him more as a helper because he can surprise you with what he understands. Last weekend Siena pooped on me and while I was calling for Mike's helps, Cole took off and came back with a brand new package of baby wipes and opened it up and started wiping up the poop. Last night I asked Mike to get me the broom and he brings the outdoor one (umm not the broom I wanted, aren't you a mind reader :-) ), and then Cole comes running in from the deck with the broom I needed! Yesterday morning he brings me wipes and starts touching Siena with them. I realize that she had spit up and he noticed and wanted to help me clean up. He is so observant!
Speaking of Siena, she had been getting on a better napping schedule until we gave her formula. Now she has gas galore and is constantly uncomfortable. I am not happy about this formula situation but I don't know what else to do. Little miss piggy cleaned out my stock pile of breastmilk and until I can build it back up she will have to get the occasional bottle of organic formula (costs and arm and a leg, why can't target brand do organic??).
We said good bye to Michael Jackson with the rest of the world this week.

Cole has been in boy heaven since I brought up the box of lego's from the garage. These are Mike's legos from when he was little. I think he is actually a little too protective over them. :-) But it is too cute to see them building things together.

Cole discovered the lego basketball set and has been shooting hoops ever since.

Sometimes Cole decides to be nice to Onyx. She doesn't quite trust him though. I wouldn't either. He kept telling me "Shhhh" when I would go near them to take a picture.

Onyx's lake incident hasn't stopped her from being water crazy. I think she uses the pool more than Cole.
Besides her foot, Siena has discovered something new....toys! And she loves them. She even passed a toy from one hand to the other.

She still loves that naked time. I try to give her about an hour a day. I think I should be working more on tummy time but naked time makes her happier.

The other day Cole sat next to me on the couch while I was nursing Siena. He had this little doll in his hands. He points to it and says "mama". He then proceeds to point to her boobs and say "num num". What?? Does my son think I look like a hoochie? I also think he is watching Siena nurse way too much. Mike informed me that the day before he pointed to her butt and said "poo poo". Maybe I shouldn't worry too much.
