Cole - age 5

Cole is 5.  Wow.  Where has time gone.  He is the sweetest little (big) guy around.  He is super sensitive and very caring.  He has become a very good eater and is willing to try most foods, especially if it is game meat.  Cole loves dinosaurs, angry birds, I spy books and games.  He wants to be an archeologist and "dig up fossils" when he gets older.  He is very smart and loves to solve puzzles.  He is learning to read and really wishes he could read on his own.  Cole has the memory of an elephant  and can tell you anything and everything.

Cole is 45" (3'9") and weighs 42 pounds. His height puts him in the 85th percentile and weight in the 65th percentile.

Cole is so close to being a reader!  He knows all of this upper and lower case letters and he has been sounding out words like crazy!  So proud of the little (big) guy!

Siena is 3!

What can I say about Siena at the age of 3. She is a very spunky little girl who adores her older brother to pieces. As long as she wakes up on the right side of the bed she is will find him every morning and give him a hug before doing anything else. She speaks very well and knows her alphabet, numbers, colors (finally), shapes, and animals. She gets a little confused with numbers past 10 but she tries very hard anyways.

Siena loves hello kitty, Rapunzel, monkies, Mickey mouse clubhouse, and will suffer through old spiderman and batman cartoons with Cole. She is 27 pounds and 35 1/2 inches tall. She has very long hair that we still have not cut. She lets me braid her hair more often than I ever expected a toddler to do.

Siena - age 3

Little peanut is 3, although if you use the words "little" or "tiny" or "baby" in reference to her she will let you know exactly what she thinks about that.  "I am NOT little.  I am a big girl!"

Siena loves everything pink.  She wears skirts and dresses, not pants (according to her) because she can spin in them.  She loves hello kitty, Rapunzel,  and Dora the explorer and Mickey Mouse and will suffer through old spiderman and batman cartoons with Cole..  She is obsessed with Dora at the moment and would watch it 24/7 if she could.  She has been in preschool for about 6 weeks now and loves every thing about it.  She is a very spunky little girl who adores her older brother to pieces. She is still a pretty picky eater  and her favorite meal is scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast.  She loves the danimals drinkable yogurt which she calls Agoo and then regular yogurt  (Ogurt) string cheese, peanuts,.  She still prefers to drink rice milk over regular milk.

Siena wants to be like her big brother and do everything that he does.  She is his little parrot or as we like to call them "Pete and repete"  She still rarely sleeps though the night and wakes up every night between 12-3 from what we think might be nightmares.

She is 28 pounds and 36.5" (3'0.5") tall.  This puts her in the 28th and 24th percentiles.   She has very long hair that we still have not cut. She lets me braid her hair more often than I ever expected a toddler to do.

First day of school again

Cole begins his second year of the two year Pre K today.  As usual he had a blast.  He is so not the shy kid so he just jumps on in and barley says good bye.  Of course Siena wants to be in there as well but she is still just a bit to young.  She will be starting one day a week in January.

These next 2 photos were taken with a tilt shift lens I rented for the yosemite wedding this coming weekend.  I loved this lens although it takes some getting used to for sure!  It's a totally manual focus lens which is not always easy to use.

25 months

Siena had her 2 year check up today. She is doing amazing at her vocabulary compared to where Cole was at this age. She is 32 3/4 inches tall (17th%) and 23# 6oz (8%). She has dropped about 5oz in weight. I kind of suspected that she would have dropped a bit in weight because since being off the bottle she has not been chugging the rice milk.

Coles 4th Birthday Party

Cole had requested at Siena's birthday party that he wanted a T-Rex birthday cake.  After searching for a t-rex cake pan (found on Amazon) I made red velvet cake (blood from the people the t-rex eats as we found out) and I proceeded to to spend all morning decorating the darn thing.  Buttercream melts when warm and so my hands kept melting the buttercream in the bag and I kept having to put the cake in the fridge because all the little stars were drooping.  (see last years Legoman cake)

Mike slaved away on a t-rex watermelon.  Super cute.  Next time it would be easier with a larger watermelon but it's not the season for those.

Siena loves helicopters and firetrucks and not dolls.

This is a funny photo.  I love Cole's expression but if you look to the right of the picture you can see Granda Glenn and Siena and the toy story t-rex.  That was the beginning of a very scared Siena.  She runs from the t-rex, wont touch it, and yells "NO!" if you bring it near her.

Happy 4th Birthday Cole!

I seriously can not believe that this little guy is 4 years old.  He is the sweetest little man.  He LOVES to give me kisses and hugs and pretty much requests them all the time.  He adores his little sister.  They play pretty well together although some times he gets pretty annoyed with her but mostly he enjoys her company.  He is 42 inches tall and still holding strong at 35 pounds.  He still loves hummus, mini pizzas, cereal bars, fruit, bread with butter, milk, chocolate milk, and pretzels with cream cheese.  He LOVES to talk about dinosaurs and he will watch any show that involves them, he looks at any book that has them and he plays with the dinosaurs all the time.

Siena is officially 2!  Can you believe it????  She is a total crack up.  She is really trying to put more sentences together.  She is very vocal and gets a little pissy at times.  She is still under 24 pounds and full of spunk!
