More milestones

I don't have any pictures to prove this just yet, but today Siena pulled her self up on the coffee table and then immediately fell over according to my mom whom was babysitting at the time. And just now Mike came into the office ( I am editing photos, what else is new) and told me that Siena was lying flat on her belly and pushed up, tucked her legs under and got into a sitting position! Last night she did a few consecutive crawls!!!! Physical therapy has really benefited her development! We have one more session tomorrow morning and then we will decided from there if she needs any more.

Is this a sign

that teeth are on the way? She keeps sticking that finger in her mouth.

Two babies

Cole is still wanting to be a baby. He is constantly trying to crawl in my lap and do what ever it is that Siena is doing. It is so darn cute. He also likes to wear my slings and then he requests to have the "bebe" put in there. Since I wont let him carry Siena around pooh bear, or in this case, blue bear will have to do.

On the road to recovery!

So it's looking like the Fredy's are getting better (for now). Siena has not had a fever since Saturday afternoon!!!! We are still giving her antibiotics for the possible ear infection, which she doesn't seem to mind too much although the dispenser for the amoxicillin went missing last night (Cole) and he says it is in the freezer. Well I looked and it isn't there. Anyone know what else a toddler might say that sounds like freezer???? I am still feeling sluggish. I don't like having a cold. I am glad that my body at least took mercy on me a little bit and fought off most of this swine flu, but I want to feel normal again, and fast! Cole is doing well. He is still coughing a bit and the snot has seemed to take over his body. Poor guy had to deal with some pretty rough congestion.

We had a minor set back today with Siena being super fussy over her ear and then waking up with hives! So of course we go back to the doctor this evening. There is still fluid behind her eardrum but the redness is gone which means the antibiotic has helped but the hives may have been caused by an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin. So to find out if that it true the doctor wanted us to give her another dose and see if she gets any hives. With in two minutes she had hives!!! Crazy!!! So time for a new antibiotic.

until the next sickness or bump in the road.

My trailer

On Friday Cole was out side driving around in his car. He comes running up to the patio door and says "mama, hook up my trailer" and points to the bath tub. So I looked around for rope and ended up with a scarf and hooked it up for him.

He loaded it with my kitchen utensils (i've been looking for those)

Checked to make sure it was all still there

And drove away.
One of his favorite hang out spots. This is where he barks at the neighbors from.

He loves her, he really does....

But some times Siena gets a little fed up.

Eventful Saturday morning

So yesterday when I talked with the nurse I was told that if Siena's fever rose above 101.5 I would have to bring her in Saturday morning. So last night around 8pm she was at 102 and then at 3 am she was at 103.8. Poor little girl! So I called this morning and got an appointment for 9:45 this morning. We of course are running behind and so we get out the door at 9:35 and it takes about 15 minutes (depending on lights) to get there. We needed gas but after talking we decided that the light had come on and we had only driven about 15 miles so I decided that we would be fine and Mike could just drop Siena and I off and then go get gas. Well 5 minutes down the road we ran out of gas! We have never run out of gas. Oh man was Mike mad at me for not wanting to quickly run to the gas station by our house and fill up.

So anyways, the Xterra shuts down and we are basically coasting on HWY 80. We were able to make it to the next exit and park about half way up just past where the CHP had pulled over a driver for speeding. So we sat with our hazards on while I made phones calls trying to find some one to bring us gas before calling AAA. The CHP officer pulled up next to us and asked if everything was ok. I said "yes, we just ran out of gas" He responds with "Did you think the empty light meant you still had gas?" So he offered to call AAA. I told him we had AAA but we were trying to get ahold of some one else first before calling. So he gets a call and takes off and I call AAA. They got some one to us with in 10 minutes because we were a hazard and had sick small children in the car. While on the phone the poor AAA lady had a hard time hearing me because Cole kept saying "Go dada, go".

While we were waiting I was trying to get Mike to laugh because he was so mad at me and of course the CHP guy didn't help what-so-ever with his little remark, which I thought was funny and we did kind of deserve it. So anyways, I attempted to make Mike laugh and finally got a reaction out of him that wasn't grumpy. The AAA guy show up with gas and Cole sees him and says "Gas-O-lean guy, more gas?" So the guy filled us up and then asked us if we had ever had bear jerky. Random question, but I guess for around here not so much. We said no so he went to the truck and grabbed some that he had made from a bear he had killed and gave us some. It was actually pretty good. Cole ate it until it got to spicy and then said "no more bear turkey mama"

We got to the doctor's about 30 minutes late which was ok because I had let them know what had happened. Siena has lost about 4 oz in weight and is now possibly developing an ear infection. Her temperature was at 99.5 there which isn't horrible high. Her oxygen levels are at 99% and her chest sounds good. So the positive about going was at least finding out that she maybe developing an ear infection and to get her on antibiotics right away. With already having the swine flu I am not interested in waiting it out to see if the ear thing develops into something more.

We get home from the doctors and Onyx had gotten into the trash and spread it around the kitchen. She knew she was in trouble too. She tucked her head and walked slowly outside. Cole came in from the car and saw me picking up the trash and said "Oni get into trash?" I said "yes, she did" Cole says "Oni in trouble?" "Yes, Cole she is". Cole then proceeds to find Onyx and put her in a time out. Haha!!!

So I hope the second half of the day goes better than the first.

Thank you Lindsey!

I opened up a package that I got in the mail and this lovely pic (poster size!!!) was inside.

Sick again

Once again the kids are sick, except this time it's the swine flu. Cole was sick on Saturday. He had a little bit of a fever, vomited once, but was over it very fast, like within 15 hours. The only thing hanging around was a cough and a snotty nose. So on Monday morning at 2am when Siena woke up with a 103 degree fever I just figured she caught what Cole did and it would be over in a day. Wrong! Here we are 72 hours later and she is still running a fever. And now I am sick! I hope I can avoid the 104.4 degree fever spikes that Siena had to go through.

By looking at this photo most people would never know that Siena was sick here, but to us it is so obvious because of what is going on in the picture. Siena loves her dad, however if I am any where near her she will not be quite until I am holding her, so laying on Mike for 2 hours is totally abnormal! Also, she hates pacifiers. She likes to chew on them and that is it. Well she obviously has one in here and didn't mind at all.

Halloween comes a little early

So with Siena getting ready to be on the move (crawling attempts have halted due to illness), I knew I was going to have to get these pictures done now rather than in 2 weeks on halloween because by then she would be on the move and impossible to get to sit still.

This first picture is by far one of my favorite!

Winter Squash and Apricots

Finally Siena is eating more than 4 bites of food and then spitting the rest at us. Her first bite of the Winter Squash (butternut) was love at first bite. She ate half the jar!!!
We also introduced Apricot. She seems to be liking that as well. She'd better with the Mesple blood line, liking apricots is not an option.

Snotty Noses

I am so tired of having sick kids. It seems as if we are on an every other week sickness and I am so over it. I have faired very well and avoided most of these colds they seem to be getting. Mike got one of them. But this one had Siena at 103 degrees this morning. She has been one hot potato! Poor little girl she is miserable.

Cole on the other hand is past the fever stage (his was saturday, right before family photos). He is now just a snot ball and it never stops! I wipe his nose and turn my back and it looks exactly like this picture below. And the only thing on his face that is yogurt is to the left of his mouth. The rest is snot. Yuck!

Playing catch up

I have been trying for days to catch up on my blog posts. And every time I think I have a chance to catch up some thing else goes wrong. Besides having no power for 24 hours and scrambling to get all our food to safety, my grandpa has become ill, and Cole as of now has vomited once and has fever. I think Siena is about 12 hours behind him. Cole keeps saying "no feel good mama" "owie on head"

So below are the many posts I have been meaning to post.

Applehill

Last weekend we went to Applehill. The boys were so excited when we got there.
They got to try some fresh made apple juice while we all had some warm apple cider.
We wandered through the craft area and saw some great stuff that we would have loved to pick up for christmas presents however our plan was to go back on the way out and we it was time to leave Cole threw such a huge fit that there was no way we would be able to buy anything. Major Bummer. But there is no way we are going back up. That place is a mad house.
The boys favorite part of the entire day was the pond where kids and adults were fishing. You can either do catch and release or you can keep the fish and they will clean them for you.
They spent many minutes watch the fishermen and of course the fish. Each picture where Cole's hands are covering his mouth is because he was laughing at the fish flopping on the ground.

Cole randomly picked up the road cone and put it on as a hat. He then felt Dylan needed to wear it too.
We went up with the Cotten's. They are expecting baby #2 the day after Christmas!!!

Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins. Who knew two 2 1/2 year olds could be entertained by pumpkins for over an hour. It was an easy way to actually get to sit and eat lunch.
You can tell by the family photo that the day was going dow hill real fast.
And of course Cole's meltdown. I think it was one of his biggest meltdowns in public to date.

Smile

We have family photos this afternoon. Cole is practicing his best smile. Can you tell I've been working with him on it.

How to tell it's way too early on a Saturday morning

It's looks like this outside.

My eyes

Cole made these at day care. They are his eyes. He wears them all day long. He tries to get Siena to look through them. She gets pretty pissed at him.
