Applesauce

Applesauce - She loves it. She actually wants to feed her self most of the time. I put a small amount on the spoon and let her go at it.

Time at Dylans

I love how each kid has a different way of posing for the camera. Cole does his cheesy grin and Dylan chooses to hid one eye with a toy. But they are consistent with their smiles so at least they are aware of what they are doing.

I wonder how many people though she was boy because I dressed her in that outfit? It's called recycling clothes.

Cole needed a little privacy. I really think he thought he was totally hidden.

The crate

This is Onyx's "baby" crate. The last time it was up was the day Cole came home from the hospital. I brought it out for my sister's dog when she was here last week in case she needed a break from Cole. Well Cole decided it was best put to use with he and Onyx in it.

ummmm

For some reason today, Cole started using the word (is it a word?) ummm before answering any question.

Me: Cole what did Grandpa Tom take out of your bowl?

C: ummm, kix, grandpa no, mine.

Me: Cole what is the red car's name (point to Cars DVD)

C: ummm, QUEEN!

It is so cute to hear him say "ummm". It's like he is thinking really hard about the question and wants to make sure he answers it correctly.

Now that is some serious air!

Someone's little legs have gotten longer.

Long enough that she can reach the ground in her jumperoo.

And boy does she love jumping it just as much as Cole did.

Getting ready for a big jump!

Look at that height she got on that one! You have to look at the panels on the closet ( in the last 2 photos) to see how high she actually got. Now I am going to have to make sure she doesn't jump completely out of it.

My choo choo's

Cole's prized choo choo's (trains). I found them lined up like this outside.

Lined up right next to his guys.

Another moment that melts your heart

He really loves his little sister. Some times too much but this particular time he was being very gentile. He wanted her to take a nap. His way of asking me to put her down these days is by saying "Sea-ah-na nap please".

McBean Park

Yesterday we met up with some friends we have not seen in 2 years! It was so nice to see them again. They have a little boy 7 weeks younger than Siena. Our due dates were exactly 4 weeks apart and Siena was early and Wyatt was late.

What a great place for toddlers. Cole had a blast!

Siena next to a normal sized 4 month old. He actually weighs more than she does.

Cole did what he likes best. Going up the slide, not down.

Rice Cereal

Why am I having such a hard time with starting Siena on solids? It has actually made me sick to my stomach. I think what is making this hard is that it signifies that she is no longer an infant. It was so easy with Cole. I even offered him his first rice cereal at 4 months. Siena is in her second week of being 6 months and still no rice cereal. I think it was because I knew there would be another baby. Another sweet little baby that needed nothing but me for food. And now it has gone by way to quickly. She is already half a year old. I am bummed. I will get over it, I think. But she is so ready for this. Today at Rubios she launched herself into my Chipolte Chicken Ranch salad twice, both times coming up with a handful of gucamole. She want to eat so badly. So I gave in.

Can you tell she loved it? She was all over that spoon and made it difficult for me to even feed her at one point because she kept grabbing it. Cole was dancing on the table saying "Sea-ah-na rice".

The music table

Now that Siena is able to sit up for extended periods of time (2-5 minutes) I thought she needed some upright activities. I got this idea from my friend Christie. Now if I just invest in some batteries, she may be distracted by it a little bit longer than she is now.

Of course Cole had to join in on the fun because he always has to help her play.

Fun with the new camera

I am having so much fun with this new camera and lenses. It is a truly amazing camera and the L glass lenses are SO worth the money. I am so lucky!

This first picture was taken with the fish eye. I cropped it so the obvious fish eye effect isn't there, but if you really look at Cole and the toys it is noticeable that the fish eye lens was used.
Another thing I am so excited about is that the camera takes such good pics that less editing is required which means faster turn around.

The only thing besides cropping that I did in this picture was sharped his eyelashes.

This picture I love because of the sun flare. I have been trying to get sun flare for years and I have had no success. Then this past weekend at the park I was able to get it with out even trying. So yesterday I used the fish eye again (cropped picture) and I was able to get this amazing sun flare. This is the "gathering tree" where everyone meets if there is an emergency, fire, etc....

I was also able to borrow a friends telephoto lenses last night so I can test them out before deciding which one I want. It was so nice of him to let me borrow them. I was able to figure out which one I wanted with out having to rent on for $100! I can't wait to add it to my collection!

Sippy cup

How to tell when your baby is ready for a sippy cup. We can no longer drink while having her any where around us. She will end up spilling your drink if you are not paying attention.

So last weekend when we were in Capitola, I bought her, her very own stainless steal (safe plastic) sippy cup. This is her first go at it. I think she liked it.
