32 months

Another month goes by and the more he changes. Cole is now speaking in sentences and starting to put together sentences longer than 5-6 words. If you tell him you do not understand what he is saying he pauses, says "ummm" and then figures out how else to tell you. He is really starting to exercise his independence and is very vocal about what he does and does not want to do. He still does not like having his door closed and gets upset when it is closed.
He is really starting to use his imagination. He puts his toys down for naps. I am always finding John (the john deer tractor thing that he rides around) covered in blankets on his bed. He always wants to help with everything that we do and if you ask him if he wants an egg for breakfast his response is "Cole do it mama, Cole cook egg". So I let him scramble his egg. He loves it!!! Whether it is cooking the egg or carrying in firewood he wants to be a part of it.
He has his days with Siena. You can tell he really really loves her and has gotten very attached to her. When he spends the night at my parents house every other week he comes home and just torments her with hugs, kisses, licks, etc... He of course follows the dog around as well. He still plays rough with her and has even tried wrestling with her on occasion which results in a time out. When he gets mad he pushes her over or takes toys away from her. He is starting to make her interact with him when he is playing which is cute to see. Siena just adores him and is always watching his every move.
We think Cole is starting to have night terrors. If anyone out there has kids with similar experiences please share tips on how to deal with it. He wakes up out of a dead sleep kicking and screaming or in a complete tantrum. It is really weird. We aren't really quite sure what that is all about.
Cole weights about 33 pounds and I think is at least 38 inches tall if not taller, I need to measure him.
One thing that just cracks me up is the constant talk about if Siena poo pooed or anyone else he decides to bring up. Everyone poop or toots and he will be sure to tell you that. He still calls Siena a meatball. I am also amazed at what sponges this little kids are. Cole apparently saw the new taco bell commercial for the black tacos because one night Mike was putting Cole to bed and he said "hang on Cole, I have to go get your black blanket" Cole responded with "no dada, black sheep.....black taco" Then the next day he proceeded to call Onyx a black taco as well.

Ugh. Night terrors. I've read about them and they sound like no fun! I've got a book about sleep: "Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems" by Richard Ferber, that I've consulted a few times and I noticed it has a whole section on night terrors and how to deal with them. You might want to check it out. Hopefully they won't last too long and won't be traumatizing for you guys or Cole!
