Fallen Leaf Lake and South Lake Tahoe

Last weekend we were invited by our cousins Sean and David to camp with them at Fallen Leaf Lake. Since I was still not quite ready to camp with kids, we decided to just go up for the day and hang out at the campsite and South Lake Tahoe. Cole always has a blast with his cousins so we knew he was going to be in heaven with cousins, dirt, water, and sand.

Cole always wanted to be wearing one of their helmets.

We went to Kiva Beach which is right across from Fallen Leaf Rd. It is a dog friendly beach that was super clean, not crowded and a lot of fun!

Cole had quite a few wardrobe malfunctions. The cloth diapers are bulkier so having him in disposable diapers and wet shorts didn't help the fact that he already has a skinny behind.

Siena slept like always. It was her naptime while we were at the beach. I was happy that she at least got a nap in otherwise she can be quite the drama queen.

Great Grandpa Tom is always there to give Cole snacks.

One of my favorite actions shots. Cole was running from a little wave.

Kids love buckets. I think those are probably the best toys for the beach.

Siena was not too happy to be touched by the water. I think it was little to cold for her.

Cole really wanted a smore. He waited patiently for one and even helped out by putting chocolate on the graham crackers. He had to bites of his and then passed it off. He only wanted the chocolate.

At the end of the night we played telephone and charades by the campfire. Any time Henry was up Cole was right next to him like a shadow. It was pretty cute to see.

We had a blast that day and after it was all said and done I would be willing to camp with kids as long as we had help from other people. So I am hoping next year we will be able to get out one weekend and camp with family. Thanks again to the Oill's for inviting us up to camp with you for the day. Thank you for the great dinner than night also! We had a wonderful time!
