Last night while grocery shopping, Mike and I had a glimpse in to our future. A future as parents of a kid who will always be in detention....
We go on our bi-monthly shopping trip to Trader Joes and Winco and last night was unlike anyone so far. Cole was a very good sport through Trader Joes, until we had to remove him from the cart because he would not stop grabbing items out of the basket and dropping them on the floor. We made our way to Rubio's for dinner and he was a typical bored 14 month old in the high chair occasionally talking to people, but had we been paying attention we would have noticed what we were about to experience.
We arrive at Winco, Cole on Mike's shoulders and I was pushing the cart. We figured the kid had sat enough in the basket and would be happier up top. Well apparently Cole decided that he would greet anyone that came anywhere near us in the store. A greeting like they probably had not received before. He would look at whom ever came by him and stick out his tongue and scream / yell at them and then belly laugh. He did this to EVERYONE that came near us for 45 minutes.
The looks people gave us were priceless. We could do nothing but laugh. He was hilarious.
Winco probably has our photos up with a warning that we are disturbers of the peace.
