My hand is injured. I am sure it is camera/computer/lifting kids related. I can't really use it at all to pick anything up.  So I will be in this brace for at least a week to see what happens.

The past few days the kids have been playing so well together.  They spent over an hour under those pillows.  Cole was playing the ipod and Siena was observing.  It was so sweet to watch.

Kindergarten enrollment

I picked up Cole's kindergarten registration paperwork today. He was so excited to go  to the big school and get the forms.  The fact that his school is buy his favorite park makes him even happier.  I am still in disbelief that he is almost ready for kindergarten.  My little guy will be 5 in a about 6 weeks and I am so sad.  It feels like it is flying by so fast!

Considering it hasn't rained since the first weekend in October, I think winter may have arrived today! Yesterday was a gorgeous spring day. Today it was cold and windy. Then the clouds rolled in.

Daddy / Daughter moments are the best.  (I had an engagement session at the Davis Arboretum and Mike and the kids walked the park while we shot.  Siena could only make it halfway on her bike)

Peanut is feeling better for now! Still had a mild fever this afternoon and we went to the doc because she said her pee hurt her. Trace of blood in urine. Gonna take in a fresh morning sample tomorrow to be tested.

The food is my "famous" potato and leek soup. So good!

On another note, poor Siena is sick once again and this time her fever is 103.9.  She's acting weird and shaking and I am freaked out she will have another febrile seizure.  Poor baby.

My office is getting there!! Of course I'd love a bigger room so my book shelf wasn't sideways but for a 9x9 room it works pretty well. Haven't put anything on the walls yet.

I had a consult today for another 2012 wedding.  I think it went well but it's never up to me!  That's what kind of scary about being a wedding photographer.  Every time you meet with a new potential client it's a job interview.  And it can be scary.  Very scary.  And nerve wracking.  But I love every bit of it.  Fingers crossed I book it!  

I also bought a new website template.  I know, I change website annually but I think this one will stick.  It's pretty dang sweet and way more me.  Perfectly White Daisy.  :-)

Sometimes I let moments pass me by because I am always running to get my camera and that's part of the reason why I wanted to do this project 366 from my iphone. It's always accessible and ready to go.  This morning while laying in bed with the kids I started to get out of bed and Cole said to me "mommy will you stay in bed with us and watch the sun wake up?  It's really pretty out side"  How could I not get right back in bed with them?  While laying there Cole tells me to take a picture of it.  My kids are so used to me with the camera it's kind of sad.  I told him I wanted to lay here with them and not worry about the camera.  He begged me to get it.  So I got up and grabbed my iphone out of the office (no phones or tv in the bedroom) and ran back in bed.  This photo isn't perfect.  The screen door was closed, hence the little squares all over the photo but the best part about this 1 photo a day project is that it doesn't have to be a perfect photo.  Had I wanted that perfect shot I would have had to run outside and around the house the open the screen door since our bed blocks it from the inside. I would have to taken the RAW file from my camera, opened it in Lightroom, processed it, exported it  and resized it.  I would have totally missed the moment of the perfect sunrise AND I would have spent an extra 5-10 minutes getting the photo ready.  Instead I got to lay in bed with the kids and watch the sunrise and use my handy dandy ( and amazingly wonderful iphone). You know what though?  I was wrong.  This photo is perfect.  It's a reminder of a perfect morning spent watching the sunrise with the kids.

2012 is here! Wow it's crazy how fast 2011 went by. I am so excited to get caught up on the last year of Fredy Family photos as well as continuing on in to this year. Because I really want to make sure I blog I will probably be blogging from my iPhone more than the computer but that's ok. I want to get those moments documented and not put it off waiting to edit the pictures. I will add those photos back in as I get them edited, but for now it gonna be life my iphone!

Today Cole and I had a mommy / son date at the park.  Cole rode his scooter and I walked laps.  He made it one mile with various "rest stops" along the way.  We had one little crash but he got over it pretty quickly.  

The bandaid on his chin is coving a burn on his chin.  Poor little guy tried to peek at the pizza cooling off on the stove and burned his chin.
