Art projects

There's a reason why art projects don't last long in this house. This was about a 5 minute long project befor she started eating the paint and turning the paper over and painting the floor.

Practice

I finally got my beauty dish for my light set up! Cole was being a good poser for me.

This weekend

This weekend was super busy for us considering I wanted to take all of december off from photo shoots but when you get rained out you have to make up for stuff! Friday night, Mike and I headed up to Squaw Valley for the CAT (contractor's association of truckee-tahoe) christmas dinner.  We get to hang out with adults, eat a good meal, and stay the night at Squaw Valley with NO KIDS!!!!

I love the do not disturb sign they have there.

We stayed out late for us (1am) at the bar playing shuffleboard, before heading to bed.

We had to head out pretty early Saturday morning (remind me next year if we go not to plan anything for the next day!)  We got home, picked up the kids and headed to San Francisco to see our friends and of course the main reason for going was for engagement photos.  I love going to the city for those!

Cole chose to wear a too big spiderman costume the entire day.  Here he is at Union Square.

After leaving for the night we exited Treasure Island to take in the amazing view of the city!

45 months

This is pretty much Cole right now. Costumes all the time. He is the resident dinosaur at school. The funniest story about this dinosaur costume is that while Cole was putting on his shoes at gymnastics he mater of factly said to me "Mommy can we go to Target and can you buy me a giant dinosaur costume?" Funny thing is that I actually had this in the car! His cousins donated all of their old costumes to Cole and he had no clue about it yet! When I told him that I actually had one in the car, he was in disbelief! Can you tell he is happy?

Advent calendar

Cole has been waiting since a week before Dec 1st to get his hands on these. We are in to day 3 and we have already caught him hiding under the kitchen table opening them and eating. I don't think they will last long.

my office needs an overhaul.

So my office needs a MAJOR make over.

You may remember this room.  It was our bedroom when Siena was a newborn.  But then we built the deck and then I wanted a patio door to the deck.  Then I decided it was better that my office be with in viewing distance of the kids playing on the deck.  For awhile the desk was on the wall where the lone file cabinet is below but the reflection of the patio doors killed my eyes, so I moved the desk over.

As you can see the trim still needs to go up around all of the doors.  A goal this month is to get it all done along with painting the walls.

Here is the room about an hour after I decided it needed a make over.

Phase 1 complete!!!

Decorating for christmas

For the first time that I can remember in the last 6 years I got a Christmas tree up by December 1st!  It helps that we bought a very nice "fake" tree at Target.  I love it because it actually looks real.  Last year our tree dried up so fast that I didn't even want to turn the lights on!   So this year we can actually enjoy the tree!  The kids and Mike decorated it while I was at work.  I made Cole re enact decorating so I could take photos.  :-)
